Meeting with Head of Delegation of European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Piotr Świtalski
Today Republic of Armenia Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan held a working meeting with Head of Delegation of European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Piotr Świtalski. Andrea Chalupova, Political Officer of the Delegation, also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting issues related to ensuring human rights protection guarantees, both in legislation and in practice, as well as matters pertaining to further development of the capacity building of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, and more specifically the capacity building of its regional offices, were discussed.
The Ambassador P. Świtalski has emphasized the importance of the Human Rights Defender’s Office in ensuring the rights and freedoms and expressed readiness to implement projects in the framework of bilateral cooperation.
Arman Tatoyan has underlined the role of the Delegation of European Union and has confirmed his readiness to initiate joint projects in the framework of human rights protection and to expand the areas of cooperation.
