International Conference – Florence September 25 2026
On September 25, the European Ombudsman Institute organized an international conference on the topic “New Challenges for Ombudsman.” The discussions focused on new technologies, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and the protection of human rights in the changing relationship between citizens and public administration. Special attention was given to the protection of vulnerable groups, migrants, national minorities, and children. Regarding new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, it was emphasized that it is necessary to ensure the protection of citizens rights and to strengthen the accountability of public administration.
The conference was held at the premises of the American Institute for Foreign Studies, to whom the European Ombudsman Institute extends its special thanks.
